Mission Statement

Getting Things Done

I’m interested in working with good people to get good work done. I believe in bridging gaps between different viewpoints through discussion and building consensus. I believe in our ability as a school board and community to work together in our common interest–the success of our current students and future leaders in this town.

Advocating for Outliers

Who are the outliers in our schools? Simply put, they are the kids who aren't getting the attention they need to succeed. None of us fits perfectly into the ‘typical’ box, but some of us need more support to succeed in typical classrooms and workspaces. My own family represents students who are bussed off-site for access to specific programs, have IEPs, have 504 Accommodations, are neurodivergent, have physical disabilities, and are neurodivergent thinkers. I know from experience the work it takes to help some students unlock their potential beyond the norms.

I want to build on and improve our existing Multi Teird Intervention System protocols to work smarter and better for student success.

Committing to Excellence

I learned early in life that schools are the first place to look when choosing where to live. Glendora’s schools are the primary reason my family moved here a decade ago. GUSD is the hub of our community.

Glendora has a reputation and expectation of academic excellence. We owe it to our students, GUSD team, families, and community to continue living up to the high academic expectations we hold for ourselves. I am committed to helping GUSD maintain gains and improve where we can.
